  3. Are you allowed to use your leaflet as a "prop" for your speech, and can you use notes to read from?

  4. Yes, you can use your leaflet as a prop... but try to use cue cards instead of just reading from notes as you need to have eye contact with your audience.

  5. I was just wondering how I should end my conclusion. This is ho far I've got:

In conclusion, Dowd has clearly shown the theme of sacrifice within ‘Bog Child’. The novel, ‘Bog Child’, has taught me that sacrifice isn’t all that bad. It can sometimes end well for different people. For Mel, she got to save her brother from the consequences of killing Boss Shaughn. Fergus’ brother, Joe, got to prove he could fight for anything he wanted. Joe was able to make his dad proud of him; it was all down to sacrifice.

  6. Can you express 'isn't all that bad' in a way that is a little less vague? Otherwise this is a good conclusion roisin. Remember to answer the essay question- how did dowd explore your theme?

  7. Hello, in the point/ topic sentence for our LOTF essays do we have to mention or link to the essay question? Or is it just a simple explanation of the quote?

  8. Hello, was just wondering if there is a specific formula for context and in your own words questions?
